It is many people dream at one point to leave everyday life and reality behind and escape from routine to sun-drench remote Paradise Island. Look no further, as we have found it for you!
We are taking you to Celebrities and Elites best kept secret – Peter Island Resort, a tropical island of the B.V.I. (British Virgin Islands) This stunning, remote paradise is located only 30 minutes by boat from Tortola BVI and 60 min. by boat from St. Thomas US Virgin Island.
I took resort’s private ferry from Tortola Island, after a short, pictureseque ride I have found myself in heaven. Hotel staff has welcomed me in a real Caribbean style with music of drums, tropial drinks and smile on their faces, making me feel instatly at home. I could not wait to see the entire place! I settled in as soon as possible in my Ocean Front Suite, just a coconut throw from the most spectacular beach and Resort´s signature Deadman´s Beach. I suggest you put it on your bucket list and stay in one of them, they all come with private terraces and Jacuzzis, just few steps from the crystal clear waters where you can fully enjoy amazing reefs and colorful underwater world.
I loved my casual lunches at “Deadmans´s Beach” restaurant set along the white sands. It is a perfect place to enjoy relaxing lunch and delicious tropical cocktails under the palm leaves. Speaking of cocktails be sure to try Pusser´s Rum, smooth single malt, blended with fresh tropical fruit juice makes a delicious Rum Punch. At Deadmans choose some of their specialties such as, pork sandwich with glazed plantains , fresh catch of the day with the mango chutney, tropical salad with shaved coconut and more.
For a night to remember I highly recommend that you reserve your spot at the chef’s table at “Tradewinds” Restaurant. The ultimate experience and a real celebration of flavors in a six course meal paired with fine wines, simply amazing – they certainly know what they are doing and I have given them Five Stars!
Peter Island is a real hideaway with more to offer than you can think. From the beautiful spa with signature treatments to exceptional snorkeling and diving. It also has small catamarans and hobey cats for your sailing pleasures and bikes which you can use anytime you like to explore all parts of the island and its natural preserve. Visiting BVI of course wouldn’t be complete without getting to know neighboring islands and what better way to do it than sailing.
Choose Moorings Company if you are interested in a more exclusive sailing experience or “Patouche” Charters whose owner, a great host and dear friend of mine, “Captain” Joe, will take great care of you and will make sure you will have the time of your life.
My visit to Peter Island Resort was simply amazing, a real treat; not once did the thought of “Island Fever” cross my mind – how could it? Ideal place, perfect escape, certainly one I wish had lasted forever.
