Don´t miss Spago Beverly Hills Restaurant! My “romantic” relationship with famed Beverly Hills restaurant has started long time ago, and has lasted for many years now.

My initial encounter with flavors and culinary art of Mr. Wolfgang Puck was in fact through one of his Chefs Jason Knibb back in 1998 (see story Nine –Ten). It is then when I discovered how Chefs combine simple and fresh ingredients and elevate them to an incredible culinary experience.

It was not until few years later when I was actually able to visit Beverly Hills to see for myself why Spago has become one of the Hollywood Elite most favorite restaurants. I needed to find out the secret and I think I did. It is Wolfgang Puck  simple philosophy – three simple words: Eat, Love and Live (Well) preparation of food with passion from the freshest, most natural organic ingredients combine with chef’s incomparable infusion of flavors.

The restaurant became an over nights success since its doors opened in 1983 and Chefs original dishes like: haute cuisine smoked salmon pizzas with caviar (since then my favorite pizza) or braised lamb or selection of Austrian Specialties like Wienerschnitzel  put the restaurant on the international map.

To be able to enjoy this culinary Spado delighful meals, assure to book your table in advance as it is hard to get last minute reservation. There is no surprise Spago keep being top of the list as it constantly elevates fine dining experience which received paid off with Two Michelin Stars recognition.  This summer Executive Chef /Partner Lee Hefter reinvented entirely menu by keeping signature farm –to table philosophy and highlighted best of California cuisines by adding on touch of Oriental and Mediterranean original recipes.

Aleksandra and I had visited Beverly Hills few months ago and could not wait for yet another fine-dining experiences. Food is perfectly presented and taste amazing, some so simple dishes you would think but prepared with LOVE and precision make a big difference. I loved every bite of my handmade Agnolotti pasta with sweet peas, mascarpone and parmesan cheese and Ricotta Gnocchi with Lamb, Almonds and Capers- buttery, soft and rich. Their Alskas Halibut is amazing, ranch Quail or Roasted Duck Cantonese style is something special. List is endless, the 30 thousand bottle wines list is overwhelming and list of cocktails and amazing desserts can spin your head. But all this is so worth it. So for those of you who wish to celebrate a special occasion while visiting Beverly Hills or just simply want to enjoy fine food and wine, choose Spago Restaurant and I do hope you will Love it.

Wolfgant Pucks has been the master behind the Oscars finest parties and gala dinners, Hollywood loves him and his divine food. Today his fine dining restaurants can be found as well in Las Vegas, Maui, Beaver Creek or even Istanbul. He also ventured out and created other culinary concepts like fine dining CUT and casual restaurants and bistros where we can enjoy his culinary art in a more relaxed atmosphere.
